Event Details

During the continuing Corona virus situation, SheConnects® will run online as a virtual event.

What is SheConnects®?

SheConnects® is a monthly opportunity for women in business to come together.  Our members come from all walks of the business world and across all ages.

All we ask is that you are open-minded, willing to share your experiences and genuinely interested in connecting with other like-minded professional women.

Each month we offer opportunities to network as well as learn about business, leadership and personal development topics.

What’s it like at an event?

Our events are always interactive – having fun is definitely part of the plan!

We usually start and finish the evening with open networking with a shared learning experience taking up the time in the middle – usually an interactive workshop focusing on learning skills that can help us in our day to day lives, in work and outside.

If you’ve been before, you know what to expect. If it’s your first time, don’t worry – it’s friendly and fun – nothing too heavy but still the opportunity to learn some cool stuff and meet some great people.

This month

Losing focus? Getting frustrated (or irritable)? Feeling exhausted?

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. More than half of us are reporting elevated levels of stress than before the pandemic began – and it’s no wonder. Not only are we facing a disease we’ve never met before, that’s still largely understood & an unknown quantity, we’re also dealing with the impact of that on our livelihoods, our social lives, our families & our home lives.

And we’re doing it all largely without the usual social support networks we’d normally have in place. No wonder it’s tough!!

At this month’s SheConnects® we’re joined by Certified Mindset & Wellness Coach, Marina Kirik to explore what stress is, the different ways it’s affecting us and what we can do to combat it & build our resilience.

And we’ll do it as a community, supporting each other and learning together how we keep ourselves well & strong through what life throws at us.

The event is free but we encourage members to consider buying a $12 donation ticket to support our 2 beneficiaries for 2020, working to make lives better for some of the hardest hit in our communities

  • Read718, children’s literacy project in Brooklyn, and
  • First Step Job Training Program in NYC, supporting homeless & low income women build the skills & experience to secure living wage jobs

Together we can have an impact. Thank you.
