What is SheConnects?
SheConnects is a monthly opportunity for women in business to come together. Our members come from all walks of the business world and across all ages.
All we ask is that you are open-minded, willing to share your experiences and genuinely interested in connecting with other like-minded professional women.
Each month we offer opportunities to network as well as learn about business, leadership and personal development topics.
What’s it like at an event?
Our events are always interactive – having fun is definitely part of the plan!
We usually start and finish the evening with open networking with a shared learning experience taking up the time in the middle – usually an interactive workshop focusing on learning skills that can help us in our day to day lives, in work and outside.
If you’ve been before, you know what to expect. If it’s your first time, don’t worry – it’s friendly and fun – nothing too heavy but still the opportunity to learn some cool stuff and meet some great people.

Our panelists are:
Brigita Krasauskaite, Founder of Foreign Territory Inc, offering art advisory and appraisal services, & Partner and Creative Director of Dandelion LLC, a social impact rug company specializing in creating unique, contemporary, hand-knotted rugs. With a Masters in Textile Design, Brigita went on to complete a Masters in Art Business Administration at FIT, SUNY. She has worked with a diverse assortment of highly respected art industry leaders and institutions and has collaborated on many art & design projects, exhibiting around the world. She is the Art Advisor for the Sasson Soffer Foundation, New York and a Trustee of the Francis Newton Souza Foundation, New York.
Reem Mansour, a passionate women’s development specialist, United Nations sustainable development expert, Oxford graduate and Harvard trained public policy professional. Her breadth of experience includes labor force analysis, capacity building & outreach. Her work in developing countries with disadvantaged women and youth led to these groups becoming agents of change in their communities. Today, Reem is on her way to becoming a corporate culture change agent by addressing the underlying systemic factors that inhibit women from achieving their full potential. She is developing ways to support ambitious women with a desire to achieve high-level performance, both personally & professionally.
Janet Valenza, President and Designer of GOGOgracious, a women’s clothing brand known for 7 Easy Pieces that go from travel to business to evening without really changing. The company has been featured in Women’s Wear Daily, Allure Magazine and Bloomingdale’s. Janet is a past C-Suite Executive (CFO) at the Young & Rubicam family of international advertising agencies, a position she rose to during her first 10 years out of college. She holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Fashion Design. Janet is also an award winning inspirational speaker.
Jennifer Thompson, HQ Director of NST Pictures, a wedding cinematography company located in NYC and serving couples nationwide. Jennifer leads a female-driven team that with dedication and unity has produced over 375 films a year, has been inducted into the Knot’s Best of Weddings hall of fame and has been featured in over 250 publications. When Jennifer is not at work, she can be found exploring NYC and spending time with her beloved bulldog, Tonka.
Julie Kim McMahon, Co-Founder to several companies in food and fashion. Building and operating businesses for the last 17 years has been a winding journey to many hard-won lessons for Julie. She enjoys sharing these lessons and insights – business and personal – with kindred spirits on the entrepreneurial path. Before starting her adventures in co-founding companies, Julie worked in Public Relations with notable fashion brands from Gucci to Helmut Lang.

SheConnects is a free event however we are offering the opportunity for members to ‘give back’ by making a donation to two great causes when they buy a ticket.

SheConnects events are open to any woman in business interested in learning and sharing with other like-minded individuals as part of our growing community.
Doors open at 6pm with the Panel starting at 6.20pm.
